HH22 - 02.09.14 - Ready to complete...

Helle has received the mortgage money from Barclays and is happy with the (finally forthcoming) insurance, so we are all "good to go"...

So why haven't we 'done the deed' today?

Tomorrow would have been Dad's birthday, and having waited this long, another day seems nothing, so Helle has kindly agreed to complete tomorrow.

Crazy?

Absolutely!

But tomorrow seems an auspicious day, so I can be patient for another few hours.

Thinking of my beloved Pa on a day of finally diminishing stress [we've been working our way up to this for more years than just the 2½ of active house-hunting; selling #31 five years ago was the first physical thing we did, although we were planning this for a long time (just couldn't cope with house-hunting at the same time as the worst of the renovations in France), and it's finally happening] has me a bit teary around the edges.

But in a good way; I'm so, so happy, and heart-feltedly thanking the gods of finally taking a step-up the property ladder from "first-time buyer" to "second home purchaser".  Bit different than the intended 18 months, eh?

Delayed gratifications really is the way to go!
